Happy Birthday Charles Spurgeon
If any of you should ask me for an epitome of the Christian religion, I should say that it is in one word - prayer. Live and die without prayer, and you will pray long enough when you get to hell. (Charles Spurgeon)
Bro. Charles was born on June 19, 1834. He was many things, but as the above quote testifies, he was a champion of prayer. Celebrate his 179th birthday with us by spending it praying with your brothers and sisters - Wednesday Prayer Meeting. We start at 6:30 PM.

Batter Up!
Don't forget - softball tonight at 6:00 at the New Baltimore field. Bring your mitt and join us, or bring your lawn chair and cheer us on!
Go team!

Fathers Day at Friendship
Good things are happening this coming Lord's Day, as we celebrate Father's Day.
In addition to the opportunity to worship and fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ (always the best part of any Lord's Day at Friendship), there will be gifts for all the guys (dad or not).
And we will have some special music - Bobby Bowen and his family.
Don't miss Fathers Day at Friendship Bible Church.

Oklahoma Update
For those who have volunteered to join us in going to Moore, Oklahoma with Samaritan's Purse, here is a quick update:
We are still in the queue to help. Our preference was to go this week, and that is already past. If you are still praying about this opportunity to serve, please redouble your efforts, and keep your calendar clear for the next few weeks. I've swapped a couple of phone conversations with Samaritan's Purse now, and although we have not yet bubbled to the top of the queue, it sounds like we are getting there.
Thanks for your heart to serve others!
