Saturdays Are Great!

And this one is no different! Starting with the always wonderful men's prayer breakfast at 8:00 AM, and followed closely thereafter by our annual spring cleaning day.

This year, both the weather and the fact that we have such great people, have conspired against our Spring Cleaning day! Basically, the church has been kept in such great shape this year that there's not a lot to do, and the majority of what needs done is outside where the weather is less than cooperative.

SO... we will still proceed with the cleanup day, but will primarily be working on the parking lot (if the snow has cleared enough to allow it), landscaping and some minor cleaning in the auditorium. If you are able / willing to help with any of those tasks, we'd love to have your help Saturday morning after the prayer breakfast! Plan on about 9:30. Bring tools!

Blessings from Word of Life

Monday evening we were blessed by the music, the Word, and the fellowship enjoyed with 20 young brothers and sisters from the Word of Life Bible Institute.

Thanks to all who housed our guests. Thanks to all who fed our guests. Mostly, thanks to God for allowing us the privilege of partnering with his servants in so many ways!

Pray now for the Word of Life Collegians as they continue traveling and ministering in other places.

Have We Ever Needed It More?

Prayer, that is.

It's dangerous to make comparisons, I know, but we certainly are in a time when we need to pray - for our country and world, for the lost, for the culture of our day.

And I know it's questionable to say any time of year is more important than any other, but I can't help thinking of Easter as the pinnacle of the church year. And it's upon us.

So for both reasons, I encourage your participation in tonight's prayer meeting. Join us as we pray for our nation and world, for the lost around us and around the world, for the churches we serve together with, for the missionaries who take the gospel where we cannot go, and for all the preparations and service that has gone and is going into Easter at FBC this year.

Brothers and Sisters, we need to pray. Join us at 6:30!

Saturdays for Jesus

Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brothers, you have done it unto me.

We quote that verse often, but it's always a good reminder that when we help others, we're serving our Lord.

Two opportunities this coming Saturday:

1. The Grubb family will be moving, and need some help with that. Meet at their house at 9:30 AM.

2. Haven of Rest service day. Meet at the Haven at 10 AM, and help feed those who are hungry. Wear a hat!
