EASTER WEEK - SCHEDULE

Don't forget the changes in our schedule for this week, as we celebrate Easter week:

  • Wednesday Prayer Meeting is CANCELLED this week.
  • Friday, 7:00 PM, we will remember the cross during our Good Friday communion service.  Instrumental music will be provided by "Musica" starting at 6:30, so come early to hear the music.  This service will conclude with communion.
  • Easter Sunday, 9:30 AM - breakfast in Fellowship Hall
  • Easter Sunday, 10:30 AM - Resurrection Service with music by the FBC Choir.  (Note that there is no Sunday School on Easter Sunday.)

Nathan Wimer Funeral

Church Family,

This Thursday, the church will be open to the community for Nathan Wimer's calling hours and funeral.  If any of the church family is available to be on hand to "just be there" and "help out in any way needed" during this time, it would be appreciated.  Many people will be coming into the building, and we need some who will just maintain order and keep things flowing smoothly.  Additionally, there will no doubt be opportunities to pray with and share the love of our Savior with those who are hurting.

Please consider investing some of your morning on Thursday to help with this.

Nathan's obituary, containing times and details, is here - http://m.recordpub.com/obituaries/2015/03/31/nathan-lucas-wimer

Thanking you in advance,
Pastor Bill

NO MAN

“No man can progress in grace if he forsakes prayer.” —Charles Spurgeon

It's Prayer Meeting time!  Will you join us this evening at 6:30 PM as we meet for just a brief 45 minutes and bombard the throne of God?  We pray for each other.  We pray for our world... our country... our leaders.  We pray for our church and other churches around us.  We pray for the sick and the needy and the hurting.  We pray prayers of thanksgiving for all the blessings we have in this life.  We pray for one another.  We pray for you.

You need not be willing to pray out loud to attend - just come and pray silently.  God hears that just as well.

“No man can progress in grace if he forsakes prayer.” —Charles Spurgeon

BEAUTIFUL SPRING!!

One of the surest signs the long winter is coming to an end takes place this Sunday - it's time to set your clocks an hour ahead!   Praise God spring is springing, and the long winter is on its way out.

Don't be late this Lord's Day - make sure you set your clocks ahead one hour before your head hits the pillow on Saturday night, and then join us in worshipping the Lord on His day.

PRAYER PRAYER PRAYER

Don't neglect prayer meeting this evening. What is it that Jesus said? "Men ought always to pray." Hmmm... That means we should pray when we're in a praying mood and when we're not. One man said we should pray when we're not in the mood because it would be sinful to remain in such a condition. And we should pray when we're in the mood because it would be sinful to waste such an opportunity!

Pray with us tonight. 6:30 in the Sanctuary. We will be done by 7:30, and you will not regret investing those 60 minutes before the throne of God.

HAVEN HAVEN HAVEN

Last evening several of us attended the annual Haven of Rest Faith Promise banquet at NEOMED. We are always amazed to see what God is doing in the lives of men, women, and children through the ministry of the Haven of Rest.

This Saturday morning, March 7, at 10:00 AM, you can be part of that ministry by helping as we setup and serve at the Haven of Rest in Akron.

Put walk to your words. Put legs to your lips. Put behavior to your beliefs. Serve the King by serving others.

Oh… and remember… wear a hat!
