Pizza Pals and Prayer

Where can you go in the middle of the week and find food and friends? Where can you do something meaningful for Christ's kingdom both with your hands and on your knees?

How about the midweek activities at Friendship Bible Church this week?

Tuesday evening at 6:30 - work night at the construction site. This should be a light evening, as we will be doing a bit of cleanup in advance of the scheduled start of framing tomorrow. Bring tools. We will bring pizza and pop!

Wednesday evening at 6:30 - midweek prayer meeting. Spurgeon thought of the prayer meeting as the heating plant for the church. Prayer keeps us on fire for Jesus like nothing else. Join us as we pray. You need not fear being called upon for silent prayer is just as good as audible prayer. Just join us. Pray with us. You will be glad you did.

Praying and Parking

Prayer Meeting (every Wednesday at 6:30 PM) will start in the parking lot this evening.  Gather outside by the rear basement entrance (weather permitting), and then we will make our way inside together.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle--I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere...  (1 Timothy 2:1-8a)

I heard an interesting rumor...

Rumor has it that these guys might show up for the work night tonight!

Grab the Work Gloves

If you want to take part in the church work days for Phase 2, you are running out of time! We are expecting walls to start rising within the next two weeks, and have just a few tasks remaining in preparation of that. Demolition is basically done, and now we build.

Join us this evening at 6:00 at FBC if you'd like to help. Bring tools.

Tarp Away

The use of tarps to shelter the work area has resulted in vastly improved response time from the concrete subcontractors.  Tomorrow (Tuesday), a mason will build the firewall that will separate the old building from the new.  And we need to provide a tarped shelter under which he can work, as well, as the forecast calls for rain tomorrow.

If we could have 4-6 men help this evening (Monday, 6:00 PM), with moving the tarps to cover this area, we may well be able to say goodbye to the tarps forever.  Home stretch.  Almost done.

Can we get 4-6 tonight at 6:00?  I'm guessing the time committment will be 30-60 minutes.

Thanks, Brothers!
