I Will Be Glad!

Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls-- Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:17-18 NKJV)

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalm 97:12 NKJV)

May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the LORD. (Psalm 104:34 NKJV)

Just a couple of verses that reminded me this morning to be happy in Jesus. No matter what comes our way, our reasons for rejoicing in Him are greater!

Oh, and don't forget prayer meeting tonight - 6:30 - 7:00. Join us as we pray one for another.

Memories of the 2009 Christmas Cantata

Only 9?

We are looking for your help in our planning for 2010, and have posted a survey on the SurveyMonkey site. You can get to it by going to SurveyMonkey. There are only 10 short questions, and your responses may be given anonymously.

Jesus healed 10 lepers, and only 1 returned to give thanks. Remember his words? "Where are the nine?" Well, we have had 9 responses so far, but there is at least 1 more out there! "Where is the one?"

Haiti? What can we do to help?

If you have been dismayed with the growing chaos and horror in earthquake ravaged Haiti, and wondered what you could do to help, here is a suggestion.

Friendship Bible Church supports and partners with two missionary organizations that are actively involved in the relief efforts in Haiti - Northwest Haiti Christian Missions (NWHCM) and Samaritans Purse. Both have people and resources already in the country, but they are crying out for additional assistance as they attempt to meet the overwhelming need.

Neither is currently asking for people to come. They are asking for money to fund the relief efforts.

We can all help by giving above and beyond what we normally give. Any offerings we receive with a designation of "HAITI" will go immediately to either Samaritan's Purse or NWHCM for their relief efforts. Both organizations also accept donations online, at www.samaritanspurse.org or www.nwhcm.org if you prefer to help in that way.

Help Us Improve in 2010

Continuing something we started last year... we'd like to hear your opinions on FBC, our services, our ministries, our fellowships, etc. The survey is completely anonymous, unless you wish it otherwise. It will be a huge help to us as we pray about 2010.

Will you help us by taking the survey? If so, please Click here to take the survey!

The survey consists of 10 simple questions and will probably take no more than 10-15 minutes of your time. We will keep the survey open until the end of January.

Thanks!

Progress Report

2009 saw a tremendous number of accomplishments at FBC. Two of those accomplishments - the completion of the sewer project, and the installation of much needed parking, can be seen in this video provided by one of our members. Enjoy:
