Keep praying as VBS draws to a close!

Wednesday Reminder

Day 2 of VBS saw over 50 in attendance.  Over 60 now registered!  Praise the Lord.  Pray pray pray pray for souls to be saved.  Pray for the teachers who present the gospel, that they might make it clear. Pray for the Holy Spirit to grant understanding to little minds.  Pray that this week will reach our community for Christ... that it will not only touch children, but whole families.  Pray.

And as a reminder, all normal Wednesday activities (i.e. Prayer Meeting and Leadership Training Institute) are cancelled this evening to make room for VBS.  Both will resume next Wednesday.

Two Days To Go!

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. (Mark 10:14 ESV)

Pray for Vacation Bible School today... For those working hard to prepare... For
Parents and grandparents who will be tasked with an upended schedule next week... For those who have committed to give a week of evenings to a group of children, for Jesus' sake.

MOSTLY - pray that the little children will come... That nothing will hinder them... And that they will discover and become part of the kingdom of God.

Super Summer Stuff!

What a great week of summer happenings at FBC!

Tonight, Wednesday, join us for Prayer Meeting, and the Leadership Training Institute (6:30 and 7:30 respectively, at the church)

Friday at 7:05, fathers and sons (and anybody else) will meet at Canal Park for an Aeros game followed by spectacular fireworks.

Saturday at 6:00, the first Campfire Fellowship of the year will occur at Maino Manor. Bring a dish to pass, a chair to sit on, and a desire to have a blast... because you will.

And of course, the highlight of the week will be the Lord's Day, when we gather in small groups for Sunday School at 9:30, and then together worship our savior and king at 10:30.

Vacation Bible School 2012 is less than 1 week away. (July 16-20, 6:00-8:30 PM)

Decorations are going up. Prayers are going up. Refreshments, crafts, and supplies are piling up, and the big tent is onsite and ready to be filled up.

All that's needed is REGISTRATIONS!

Parents, grandparents, families, friends and neighbors - register those kids for VBS. It's free... It's often life changing (we see more kids come to know Christ at VBS each year than at any other event), and it's just a blast for kids and adults alike!

God's house, that is.  The remodeling project is wonderfully complete, and we look forward to our first day in the new auditorium.  Come... join us... experience it while it still has the smell of newness about it!
