Thirty One Prays For Thirty One Days

In prayer meeting at last evening, we began looking at 31 different ways to pray during our 31 days of prayer. We looked at 8 specific requests, which you may want to pray on your own as you think through these things. Let us pray for God's will, and let us also pray for our willingness, not only with relationship to our Phase 2 project, but in every aspect of our life.

And so we pray:

Pray for God’s will

1.) God’s will to be sought. (Not personal agendas)
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:19)
2.) God’s will to be understood. (Understanding)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2)
3.) God’s will to be trusted. (Obedience and trust)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall 2direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
4.) God’s will to be followed. (Even when it costs)
Teach me to DO Your will, For You are my God; (Psalm 143:10)
not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, DOING the will of God from the heart (Ephesians 6:6)

Pray for Our willingness:

5.) Our willingness to pray and seek His will. (Dependence, not presumption)
READ - Joshua 9:3-14
6.) Our willingness to submit to His will. (Submission)
Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.” (Matthew 26:42)
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus... (Philippians 2:5)
7.) Our willingness to INDIVIDUALLY participate in doing His will. (ME, not somebody else)
8.) Our willingness to sacrifice to accomplish His will. (Cost)
READ - 2 Samuel 24:18-25, especially vs. 24

“God... Your will: nothing more, nothing less, nothing else! Amen”
