Well the debate is over...

Facebook and Twitter are filled with little else. People have taken sides and are busily posting their thoughts to social media about who did best, and who will best lead our country.

But I have a better idea, because frankly it's not Donald or Hillary that we need leading our country. It's God.

Imagine if every person who has taken a side and posted something about it on Facebook would come to prayer meeting and pray. What would happen if the same passion that flows from our keyboards flowed from our lips while on our knees before God? What would happen if we, God's people who are called by His name would humble ourselves, and pray and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways? God answers, If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (II Chronicles‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Nothing on Facebook will heal our land. Nothing on Twitter will cleanse the sin of America. Time spent listening to the blind leading the blind on television and the internet will solve precisely zero percent of American and world problems. We need God. You need God. I need God.

Will you join your brothers and sisters at Prayer Meeting this evening? We meet at 6:30 in the sanctuary, and will be finished no later than 7:30. You can pray with us silently or aloud as you choose. No one will pressure you to speak. But whether you pray silently or aloud, you will be doing the only thing that can fix what's broken.

And remember - You have friends at Friendship Bible Church.
