Looking for a Few Good Men

Calling all men of FBC!

This Saturday, February 27, at 8:00 AM, we need you to join us for our first men's Prayer Breakfast. I know it's a lot to ask of you... I know that the inconvenience on you is excessive, but nonetheless I must ask you -

  1. Join us in eating a great, homecooked breakfast at 8:00 AM in Fellowship Hall.
  2. And join your brothers in Christ in spending some time fellowshipping around the Word.
  3. And finally, join us in praying one for another.
This will be our first prayer breakfast, and hopefully the first of many to come. Will you join us?

Red Red Red!!!

Don't forget to WEAR SOMETHING RED to services tomorrow. It's Red Heart Sunday, a day we try and chase away the winter blahs by brightening up the place with RED RED RED. And after the service, we'll gather in Fellowship Hall for lunch and a time of fellowship.

Join us! And invite your friends. And WEAR SOMETHING RED!

SNOW AGAIN!!

Isn't the snow beautiful? And besides being beautiful, it's just plain amazing. To think that of all the billions and billions and billions and billions of snowflakes lying on the ground today, they are all unique! What an amazing God is our creator!

But alas, while beautiful, they are also a bit of a problem for those who are trying to get out and about. Therefore, we are forced to once again cancel services. Midweek prayer meeting, Zumba class, and Leadership Team Meeting are all cancelled for this evening.

Please pass this information along to anybody who might be affected.

SNOW - NO HAVEN OF REST

Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:7 NLT)

As I look out this morning on a lot of the white stuff, it's a reminder of just how forgiving our God is, isn't it?

But it's also a problem for those who were signed up to serve at the Haven of Rest this morning. Due to the extreme weather conditions, we are cancelling the setup and serve at the Haven of Rest this morning. They have people onsite who are able to fill in so there is no need to put yourself at risk on the roads. We'll look forward to next month's opportunity to serve!

I Will Be Glad!

Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls-- Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:17-18 NKJV)

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalm 97:12 NKJV)

May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the LORD. (Psalm 104:34 NKJV)

Just a couple of verses that reminded me this morning to be happy in Jesus. No matter what comes our way, our reasons for rejoicing in Him are greater!

Oh, and don't forget prayer meeting tonight - 6:30 - 7:00. Join us as we pray one for another.

Memories of the 2009 Christmas Cantata

Only 9?

We are looking for your help in our planning for 2010, and have posted a survey on the SurveyMonkey site. You can get to it by going to SurveyMonkey. There are only 10 short questions, and your responses may be given anonymously.

Jesus healed 10 lepers, and only 1 returned to give thanks. Remember his words? "Where are the nine?" Well, we have had 9 responses so far, but there is at least 1 more out there! "Where is the one?"
